The Isle of Wight College has appointed our own highly qualified careers advisor.

In response to the local authority’s withdrawal of advice and guidance services to young people in full-time education, The College has ensured its students continue to get the best possible support by appointing Catherine Jackson, the former Connexions careers advisor.

Catherine is recognised by the Institute of Careers Guidance as an advanced practitioner and is a member of the Careers Professional Alliance.

Catherine will be happy to advise any College student or prospective student and operates an appointment system as well as drop-in sessions.

To have our own highly qualified careers advisor on site is a real asset

Debbie Lavin, College Principal

She said “I am delighted to be joining The College. As well as the usual careers guidance, I will be supporting College students with their UCAS applications, statements and all things connected with helping them to achieve their potential and progress to the careers they are interested in”.

If you need careers advice and guidance, you can contact Catherine via email at
