The Isle of Wight College celebrated the achievements of its learners at our annual Awards Ceremony to recognise the outstanding achievements of our learners.
On a sunny day in Cowes Marina, staff, students, family & friends attended our Awards Day 2015 to celebrate our students achievements.
College students and apprentices have also been successful in developing their skills across a wide range of vocational areas which have enabled them to move into successful careers in areas ranging from engineering to hairdressing, health and social care and hospitality.
Alongside these, vocational skills students also acquire during their time at the college those skills highly valued by employers such as maths, English, teamwork and self-confidence. The College also takes great pride in the achievement of its learners with disabilities and learning difficulties, who participate in a wide range of community activities.
This inspirational group of people develop a wide range of skills that enable them to either progress into employment or the skills necessary for independent living.
Some of these students will be progressing to Russell Group universities, a group of prestigious universities with a leading role in research. These include:
- Oxford, King’s College London
- Durham Universities
