The International Department has welcomed students from around the world since 1991 and continues to provide excellent welfare and support to all International students, recognising that for some students it may be their first time away from home and parents.

The College continues to strive in all aspects of meeting student’s needs, from using the most up-to-date and exemplary teaching methods to providing more IT equipment for students to use.

English as a Foreign Language has been taught at the College for years, offering bespoke courses to companies, universities and schools, Cambridge certified courses to local students and specific language courses to local companies.

The tutors use interactive and stimulating teaching methods to deliver the English with the use of activities on solving language problems with fellow students and reflecting on how to improve.

All Homestay families are handpicked and many have hosted International students for years. The International Department carries out strict assessments and police checks to assure the suitability of the families and the welfare of the students, the department also provides a 24 on call service.

Both families and students receive a profile on each other detailing any dietary and medical requirements, as well as personal information like hobbies, to ensure a comfortable and well matched visit.

The Isle of Wight is a small and beautiful Island situated at the very south of the UK, separated by a small stretch of water named ‘The Solent’. London is only an hour and half by train from the Isle of Wight. All visitors start their holiday with a fun and exciting trip on one of the various ferry routes, which becomes a memorable start to any holiday.

‘The Island’ receives the highest sunshine hours in the UK and has over 70 miles of stunning coastline – over half the Island is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Steeped in rich historic importance the Island is known as the prison of the King and the home of the Queen, alongside various other links to royalty all around the Island.
