When in college you will attend a series of lectures and seminars which focus on the development of theoretical knowledge. It is expected that student will then apply their theoretical knowledge in an engineering workplace.

The course will employ a variety of assessment opportunities to include coursework, exams and involvement in both individual and group projects. This will give students the opportunity to enhance and practice their skills in informal settings while competencies gained are to be fully transferable to the workplace. Assessment will be throughout the course with exams as additional assessment on some modules.

WHAT CAN THIS COURSE LEAD TO?

The HND course runs over two years and is classed as a standalone and recognised qualification. Students are able, if they so wish, to progress onto university to top-up their HND to a full degree.
