When you join one of our courses you will undertake initial assessments which will identify your Maths and English level. This information will be used to create an individual learning plan. We are dedicated to ensuring that you are supported in the areas you need in order to gain these core qualifications. Learning Support is also available if required.
We offer nationally accredited qualifications in English and Maths on a variety of days and times, including evenings in specialist venues throughout the island and at The College. Our experienced team will support you throughout your studies.
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
Anyone who feels their skills in English and/or maths could be improved. Good English and Maths skills can be life enhancing improve your job prospects and help you manage your finances more effectively and would be what you need if continuing into higher education.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
- Maths : Calculations including decimals, percentages, area, ratio and much more.
HOW WILL I LEARN?
Our weekly 2 hour classes are held at a variety of times/days including evenings on site at the college, and daytime classes in venues across the island. We will direct you to relevant resources available to you outside of the classroom. To gain the qualifications you need, regular attendance is essential.
These qualifications are FREE OF CHARGE!
WHAT CAN THIS COURSE LEAD TO?
The course will lead to a City and Guilds qualification in English and/or Maths at the appropriate level for you which can be taken at any point during the course, as long as you are ready.
