Equality Impact Assessments
The college is committed to providing equality of opportunity for staff and learners. We have an ongoing programme of review of our policies, functions and strategies to seek to ensure that they promote equality of opportunity for all.
Copies of completed assessments are held within the college and can be made available for review upon request.
The Isle of Wight College Single Equality Scheme
The Isle of Wight College is committed to promoting and mainstreaming equality and diversity and to ensuring staff and students are treated fairly and with respect.
We have developed Equality Schemes and Action Plans in the areas of race, disability and gender, which set out our plans and significant progress in promoting equality. In our published Equality and Diversity policy, we stated our commitment to proactively developing equality of opportunity for all, and are currently developing a Single Equality Scheme that encompasses age, sexual orientation, faith and belief and gender reassignment in addition to our current stated public duties.
