Learning Resource Centre

Students at The Isle of Wight College enjoy the use of excellent facilities in a purpose built Learning Resource Centre. We have over 70 networked computers, free internet access and Wi-Fi, over 36,000 items which includes a large collection of magazines, DVDs, electronic books and online resources.

Our Learning Resources Centre (LRC) is much more than just a library. Open to all College staff and students, it is a bright, airy state-of-the-art building. Open from early until late, the LRC is a flexible space for private study and group work, designed, equipped and staffed to help you learn in the way that suits you best. LRC staff support the information and study needs of all students and are always available to help you find the information you need.

The LRC is on two floors. On the first floor is the Library where you will find books, DVDs, the internet, newspapers, magazines, careers information and lots more! On the top floor is the Learning Zone, where there are over 60 networked computers which you can use for College work.

Whether you have to do some research for a project, revise for an exam, have a flick through industry magazines for career inspiration or take advantage of the IT facilities available, the LRC has all the resources you need.
