Please download and review this self-assessment, to make the right choice.

Responsibilities of a Funded Student

It is important to understand that certain responsibilities are attached to the funding you will receive, and if you are unwilling or unable to meet these responsibilities then you should consider paying the tuition fees privately. The responsibilities are as follows;

  1. Responsibility to Seek Work
    You must actively seek work, and declare job applications submitted, interviews attended , and offers received whilst studying.
  2. Responsibility to Inform us of Changes in Circumstances
    If your circumstances change (particularly if you go back to work) you must inform us. This doesn't mean that your funded will be cut or that you will be asked to leave the training, but we are required to keep accurate records on these matters.
  3. Responsibility to Attend Training.
    As a recipient of funding, you will be receiving a substantial amount of financial support, and there is an expectation that you make the most of this opportunity.

If you fail to meet any of your responsibilities, we reserve the right to withhold your certificate and/or to provide feedback to the Jobcentre (if you are claiming Jobseekers Allowance).
