Cricket Coaching Academy Develop your Cricket Coaching skills and gain practical experience

Cricket Coaching Academy Courses
Study Levels

Cricket is played around the world and is a global industry as well as a hugely popular sport. The Cricket Coaching Academy, run in partnership with The Isle of Wight Cricket Board, offers keen cricketers the chance to develop the skills and qualifications to coach their sport, and gain practical amateur coaching experience in a wide range of Island settings, whilst studying towards nationally recognised qualifications.

Students can study academic programmes from Level 1 to Level 3 (depending on previous qualifications and achievement) which include City and Guilds and BTEC qualifications in Sport, plus coaching qualifications, First Aid, and Functional Skills.

Classes will be delivered by College lecturers, and by qualified and experienced professional coaches from the IW Cricket Board, and the Cricket Board will also arrange regular coaching work experience which will allow students to practice what they learn.

At every academic level, courses are designed to allow students to progress into employment or on to further studies (leading potentially to admission to university for the most academically capable students).
